Big Sunday's 6th Annual Spooky Sunday Costume Donation

 Spooky Sunday

Sunday Assembly L.A. has been working with Big Sunday for as long as we've been doing our thing.

Big Sunday believes that absolutely everyone has some way that they can help somebody else. As such, they have created one of the largest volunteer calendars for local service work in the L.A. area.

Big Sunday's 6th Annual "Spooky Sunday" is coming up on Sunday, October 25th from 2 pm to 4 pm, and they are in need of costumes!

Spooky Sunday is a super fun event that Big Sunday hosts every year.  "Spooky Sunday" is an opportunity for  local nonprofits to bring their clients and families for a fun-filled Halloween experience. The kids come and get to pick out a costume, get their picture taken, go through Big Sunday's haunted house, play games and get lots of candy, of course.

This year Big Sunday's guests are from Alexandria House (a transitional residence for women and children), Hillsides (treats abused children), Home-SAFE (serves children from low income families) and KEEN LA (recreational opportunities for children with disabilities).

Big Sunday is requesting costumes for:

  • infants
  • middle-school aged kids
  • Costumes for both boys and girls
  • The costumes can be new or gently used, but still in good shape and clean

Costumes can be dropped off at the Big Sunday office at the address below, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm. They would like donations by Monday, October 19th to allow time for them to sort them and set up for the event.

So, if you're anything like me, and have the last 10 years worth of Halloween costumes sitting in mothballs, how about dropping something off at Big Sunday, this year?
