July 12th: These Go to 11!
Amplifying Our Values
When we gather in community with like-minded people, people who share our values and vision for a better world, we motivate, encourage and inspire each other to fulfill those aspirations in a way that we never could by ourselves. In the words of our guest, Bart Campolo, "together we amplify our values."
For the July Assembly, we're going explore how we can turn up the volume on our values so that, to borrow a line from the classic movie, This is Spinal Tap, "these go to 11!"
This month, we welcome Bart Campolo to be a part of Sunday Assembly Los Angeles as our guest curator and speaker. Bart is a master of bridging ideological differences as the humanist chaplain at both USC and UCLA. Coming from a 25+ year career as a pastor and community-builder, Bart has a unique perspective on Sunday Assembly's tagline "all the best bits of church, without the religion, and awesome pop songs" that he'll be sharing with us that day.
Join us this month for a little different kind of Assembly,
co-hosted by Ian Dodd, a SALA regular.
Afterwards, stay for refreshments and fellowship and, if you're still game, lunch at the Oinkster across the street.
As always, Sunday Assembly is free of charge, and donations are gratefully accepted.
Everyone is welcome. Free childcare provided.
