Family Connect Day @ Safe Place for Youth - Kids Welcome!
Family-friendly volunteer opportunity!
Join us for a fun-filled open volunteer day at Safe Place for Youth. We’ll be sorting donations and organizing the clothing closet as usual, as well as decorating canvas tote bags, making shared experience bracelets and connecting with youth and other families!
All ages welcome.

We've worked with them on a number of item drives and the youth homelessness count, and are joining the SPY team as regular lunch sponsors. Our last Help Day was a lot of fun and super effective. They're so happy to have us back!

On the day of, street parking is available on Garfield Ave, then walk up the driveway off Garfield and ring the bell for entry. There are no clients on site on weekends, so this event is open to adults and supervised kids of all ages.

Safe Place for Youth was founded in 2011 by a group of dedicated volunteers and Founder/Executive Director Alison Hurst, offering hot food, clothing and socks to homeless youth in Venice Beach from their cars. They prioritize low barriers for entry, harm-reduction, a trauma-informed approach, and the provision of a safe, supportive environment, offering a continuum of care that includes street outreach, drop-in services, case management, health and wellness, and education and employment programs.
