March 12th Sunday Assembly
Can an old brain learn new tricks? Can you change and rewire your brain? Dr. Craig Stark returns to talk about “brain training" the problems with commercial products and show that yes, you’re continually rewiring your brain with the experiences you have. You'll hear fascinating data on how playing big, immersive 3D video games actually improves memory performance. Come explore the best ways to expose yourself to new things and alter your brain in potentially beneficial ways.
Sarah and Ryan Sandberg host.
Paul Svenson returns to bring the music all the way from SA San Diego.
This month we'll be collecting new and gently used items on behalf of Baby2Baby. Baby2Baby works with homeless and domestic violence shelters, Head Start programs, and children’s hospitals to provide low-income children ages 0-12 years with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves.
Items that are urgently needed include:
- Diaper bags
- Arts & Crafts supplies
- Hygiene Products (Toothpaste, Shampoo, Bodywash)
- Infant/Toddler Toys (0-3 years)
- First Aid Kits/Items
Join us to find your seat at 11 am, and at 11:10 am, on the dot, we will have great talks, live music and secular celebration. Stick around afterward for coffee and, if you're still game, lunch at the Oinkster across the street.
Sunday Assembly is free of charge, and donations are gratefully accepted.
Everyone is welcome. Free childcare provided.
Free parking is available in our onsite parking lot, and street parking is also free on Sundays.
* Please note that our website is no longer accepting plus-ones for RSVPs. We ask that all adults RSVP individually or sign in at the Assembly. This ensures that you and your party can stay together while signing in, and it helps us improve our statistical data so we can keep working to improve the Sunday Assembly community. Thank you for your understanding.
