Saturday Social: March for Science 2018

March for Science Los Angeles - April 14th

Take a stand for science!

Last year, over a million people were inspired to participate in the worldwide March for Science, celebrating science and the role it plays on everyday life. The second March for Science is about to start in Los Angeles, once again starting in Pershing Square and ending by City Hall. The mission statement is as follows:

"March for Science Los Angeles celebrates the crucial roles science plays in driving our economic growth, preserving our environment, and protecting the health of our citizens. we unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for policymakers to champion and fund science that upholds the common good and to advocate for evidence-based policies in the public interest at local, state and national levels."

Let's show up and be heard! Bring your signs, favorite SALA/freethinker gear, and water/snacks as needed. The provisional meeting spot will be in front of Bottega Louie, (at 700 S Grand Avenue, on the corner of 7th Street), before moving towards the corner of South Olive Street and 6th Street and into the square. Please plan on arriving a little bit early, to give yourself time for traffic and to find our group before the 10am scheduled start time.See you there!
