May 3rd Sunday Assembly: Swing Edition
[DATE CHANGE for May: because Mother's Day falls on our regular 2nd Sunday, this month we're pulling the Assembly up by a week to May 3rd.]
"Born Together; Reared Apart"
Author and prestigious twin researcher Dr. Nancy Segal will present an overview of the landmark Minnesota Study of Twins Reared Apart, its origins, methods, findings, implications and controversies.
“Twins separated at birth are endlessly fascinating and give us some of the best scientific insights into nature and nurture. No one can tell this story better than Nancy Segal, gifted scientist, raconteur, and wise observer of human nature.”
—Steven Pinker, author of The Better Angels of Our Nature
Andrew Kelsey returns for a very special set of big band favorites for this Swing Edition Assembly! So bring your dancing shoes, Daddy-O. We're going to jump and jive!
Amy Boyle and Michael Lewis MC.
Remember to mark your calendar for May 3rd. And don't forget to call your Mother on the 10th.
Join us at 11am for great talks, live music and secular celebration. Stick around afterward for coffee and, if you're still game, lunch at the Oinkster across the street.
Sunday Assembly is free of charge, and donations are gratefully accepted.
Everyone is welcome. Free childcare provided.
* Please note that our website is no longer accepting plus-ones for RSVPs. We ask that all adults RSVP individually or sign in at the Assembly. This ensures that you and your party can stay together while signing in, and it helps us improve our statistical data so we can keep working to improve the Sunday Assembly community. Thank you for your understanding.
