In the last 2 1/2 years, skeptics have made a sustained effort to put reliable information about the Burzynski Clinic in front of desperate cancer patients who might otherwise be tempted to try its unproven chemotherapies. In the course of that campaign, skeptics discovered conditions far more upsetting than they expected and have embarked on a campaign in Washington to make sure that what happened in Houston never happens again, according to skeptical activist Bob Blaskiewicz. 

Blaskiewicz teaches writing and rhetoric at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He writes for and edits the website Skeptical Humanities and is the CSI Conspiracy Guy web columnist. He contributes a monthly essay to the Skepticality podcast and is a regular panelist on the weekly live Virtual Skeptics web show and podcast.
