OurTownLA Nonprofit Expo with SALA

Come join other Assemblers as we connect with other local LGBTQ-friendly nonprofits at the inaugural OurTownLA Nonprofit Expo at Fiesta Hall! Taking place the Saturday after our October Assembly, this expo will help local health, arts, recreation, athletic and social nonprofits promote themselves, the much needed services they provide, and engage with the community one on one.

Sunday Assembly LA will have a table there, along with many other notable local nonprofits, including:

  • Alliance for Housing and Healing
  • Better Brothers Los Angeles
  • Gay4Good LA
  • ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives
  • OUTFEST Gay and Lesbian Film Festival
  • Prism Comics
  • Project Angel Food
  • Strength United
  • The Lavender Effect
  • Trans Can Work
  • Varsity Gay League
  • West Hollywood Elite Cheer and Entertainment Squad
  • West Hollywood Soccer Club
  • ... and more!

At the SALA booth, we'll be learning about our neighbor LGBT and Ally nonprofits, talking about SALA, encouraging people to sign up for our mailing list and handing out candy and info cards.

The Expo is open 12-4, and they're very short on volunteers to help with the same sorts of things we do every 2nd Sunday--helping groups load in, setting up sound and decor, greeting, handing out programs, brewing coffee, and loading out afterwards. Since we already know the lay of the land, SALA can take the lead in the community and lend a hand setting up the whole Expo!

Let us know what you're available to help. OurTown is providing free Tshirts to volunteers!

Just like at our Assemblies, parking and attendance for Fiesta Hall is FREE, but the south lot has a 3 hour parking limit. To help plan for their event, RSVPs are requested on Facebook and/or on Eventbrite. See you there!
