Tree People’s fruit tree distribution program is an awesome undertaking that they do at various locations around Los Angeles in partnership with other local organizations. Tree People distribute fruit trees to the local residents and pretty much anyone who wants to come out and get a tree is welcome to. The idea is to provide trees that produce food – fruit - to those who need it. Volunteers help prepare the trees for the residents. This involves wrapping the tree roots in wet newspaper and putting them in bags, to ensure they stay moist until they are planted. All volunteers will be trained at the beginning.

REQUIREMENTS:  15 person cap.  Be sure to dress for “dirty” work.  Closed toed shoes are recommended and be sure to bring water.  Although all welcome, this event may not be appropriate for young children.
