Saturday Social: Notorious RBG exhibit at the Skirball

Notorious RBG: Ruth Bader Ginsberg

Meet up with fellow Assemblers this Saturday, October 20th, as we view the premiere exhibit celebrating Supreme Court Justice and pop culture icon Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Based upon the New York Times bestselling book of the same name, Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg is an original exhibition created in partnership with the book’s co-authors: journalist Irin Carmon, a national reporter at MSNBC, and attorney Shana Knizhnik, who founded the popular Tumblr that earned Ginsburg Internet fame (and amused the Justice herself). In keeping with the spirit of Carmon and Knizhnik’s book, the exhibition will riff off the playful connection between the Justice and Notorious B.I.G. (as she likes to point out, they were both born and bred in Brooklyn, New York): for example, the name of each gallery section will allude to a song or lyric from the late hip-hop artist.

We're meeting at the entrance to the Skirball Cultural Center at 10am. Assemblers with young children are especially encouraged to arrive on time, to ensure we can all get timed tickets to the kid-friendly Noah's Arc exhibit later on in the day. General admission is $12 for adults, $9 for seniors, students, and children over 12 years old, and $7 for children between 2 and 12 years old. On-site parking and admission for children under 2 are FREE. See you there!
