The Power of Touch

Touch deprivation is linked to measurable increases in stress, sleep problems, a compromised immune system and cardiovascular disease. This means that touch is a powerful weapon in the arsenal for good health. In this affirming talk, we’ll explore why this issue is at near epidemic levels in our country and what each of us can do to take care of our need for Vitamin T.

About Jean Franzblau

Jean has worked internationally as a seminar leader and coach to inspire people to reach their highest potential. She teaches workshops on sexual esteem and women’s empowerment. Jean graduated cum laude with a BA in communications from UCLA and has 18 years experience with the 12-step model of recovery.

Coming back for an encore is Voices of Reason, the secular choir that includes several of our Assemblers, to lead us in celebratory song!

And you probably know them as the friendliest faces around SALA and the leads on every manner of volunteer teams, but this Sunday you'll see Ryan and Sarah Sandberg as MCs!

Join us at 11am for great talks, live music and secular celebration. Stick around afterward for coffee and, if you're still game, lunch at the Oinkster across the street.

Sunday Assembly is free of charge, and donations are gratefully accepted.

Everyone is welcome. Free childcare provided.
