Sunday Social: Runyon Canyon Hike

Come join fellow Assemblers for a fun hike in the heart of Hollywood, at Runyon Canyon Park! Open since 1987, this panoramic park in the middle of the Hollywood Hills features various various looping trails and beautiful views, becoming a favorite destination to L.A. hikers and their canine companions.

We'll meet up just inside the southern entrance, on Fuller Avenue in Hollywood. After everyone is together, we'll decide on a trail and start getting going! Trails range from "easy", along the eastern (more stroller-friendly) fire access road, to the "difficult", along the western ridges of the park. Shade is not especially common, so sunscreen and hats are recommended. Dogs are welcome throughout the park if licensed and on leashes, and part of the park allows off-leash play.

This event is FREE, though keep in mind that parking can be difficult; there's no parking lot near the entrance, and some nearby residential streets have restrictions. People local to Hollywood may want to be dropped off by friends or a ride-sharing service. See you there!
