SALA Arts Enrichment Workshops 10-4-2015
We at SALA are proud to introduce the Sunday Assembly Arts Enrichment Program for Kids. In a series of Sunday workshops on the first and third Sunday of each month, participants will work with qualified professionals two Sundays per month to develop performance abilities, learn video skills, plan projects, perform on stage at Sunday Assemblies and publish their successes.
The goal of SALA Arts Enrichment is that kids develop an appreciation for the arts and know that they can bring an artistic perspective to any project they may undertake. Even if they don't follow a career in the arts, participants will have an opportunity to develop the people skills, confidence, social poise and artistic sense that will help them be successful in whatever they choose to do.
Participants can expect to prepare readings and songs for performance at Assemblies, create video projects and work behind the scenes by interning with and shadowing Sunday Assembly video crew or SALA Arts instructors.
Workshops are aimed at kids ages 10-16, and younger children are welcome to attend. Parents are welcome to stay during the workshops.

In our first meeting on October 4th, participants will get to know each other, work on improvisational skills, and get to work planning a performance project.
We have two talented instructors who are volunteering their skill and experience, in addition to accomplished industry guest instructors.
Shaun Klaseus has a BA in Theatrical Direction from CSU Long Beach, has taught performing arts to grades K-12 for 15 years and directs theater throughout Los Angeles.
