Ever year, one of our favorite local secular non-profits, Big Sunday collects and packs big bags full of Thanksgiving dinner items for thousands of people, including vets, homeless families, women in domestic violence shelters, group homes, low-income families with autistic children, food pantries, schools and more as part of their End of the Month Club Initiative.  This year Big Sunday will be bigger than ever before, and they need volunteers!

This year, Big Sunday needs volunteers to donate food, and to pack it all up for Thanksgiving delivery.   The packing and sorting begins at 9AM.  

Big Sunday is looking for the following items:

• Canned yams
• Canned gren beans
• Corn bread mix
• Stuffing mix
• Gravy
• Cranberry sauce
• Fresh vegetables
• Pies
• $10 supermarket gift cards

Items can be dropped off at the Big Sunday main office on Melrose Ave. from October 1st through the 25th of November.  If there's one thing we appreciate about Big Sunday, it's the kid-friendly and fun element they lend to every volunteer event they host.  Be sure to join us with Big Sunday for this wonderful cause.  Live music and a tasty community breakfast is included.
