December 9th - Sunday Assembly
Tomorrow, December 9th, is our very last Assembly of 2018. (Not counting Yule Rock next weekend!) Let's "wrap up" this calendar year and welcome in the next!
As you enter the theatre, we will hand you a battery operated candle and when the time comes, if you'd like to share something you'd like to let go of from the past year, something you're grateful for in the moment or maybe even a goal for the new year, you will turn on your candle and someone will bring you a mic. No pressure to speak; you can just sit with your community and listen as we witness each other's lives and mark the changing of the year.
Don, Steve and friends will treat us to all new singalongs. Jeff Caldwell is trying his best. Sam Renderos and Nicole host!
We'll be back at the Hudson Theatres. Arrive early to save your seat. Reminder that Assemblies now begin at 11am!
Afterwards, we will move to our favorite post-Assembly hangout Spoonfed LA to brunch, enjoy a signature cocktail and wrap gifts for families we have adopted from LA Dept. of Public Social Services.
----------
Sunday Assembly is free of charge, and donations are gratefully accepted.
Everyone is welcome. Free childcare provided.
Sunday Assembly is a volunteer-driven non-profit entirely funded by attendee donations. If you'd like to see SALA continue to develop positive secular community, please consider becoming a sustaining member: sundayassemblyla.org/monthly

We could always use more volunteer helpers, starting at 9am. to set up signs, greet attendees, brew coffee and load out after the event, let us know if you can be on the team this month!
Want to sing your heart out from the other side of the stage? The Wonder-more Warblers is a for-fun choir that meets at 10:30am on the day-of to run through the songs. Sometimes we even have a rehearsal with the band before the day! Sign up here to learn more.
There's a TON that goes into driving a thriving community--planning committees, event hosts, blog writers, social media posters, video editors and maybe something you're into that we haven't even thought of yet. If you'd like to be a part of the (figurative) magic of managing a science-based community, let us know!
