Live-Better Letters
Sometimes it feels like the world's problems are too big and we can never do enough, but a small gesture can mean the world someone in need of a little kindness. We want to get together to make cards or letters for people experiencing loneliness or who could otherwise use a kind note from a stranger. So on March 17th, we're meeting at the Grand Boardroom at CTRL Collective (where we host our Westside Assemblies) armed with construction paper, stickers, markers, stationary and pens to make cards and write notes to the assisted living and memory care residents at Sunrise Villa of Culver City.
Comments like this one remind us how important it is to reach out:
"This is a wonderful idea! My dad was lonely when he lived in a nursing home - so many residents don't feel well or hear well and have nearly stopped talking, so he had no one to reminisce with unless the busy staff took a few minutes to listen. He appreciated all visits, letters and calls."
