Live-Better Letters

Sometimes it feels like the world's problems are too big and we can never do enough, but a small gesture can mean the world someone in need of a little kindness. We want to get together to make cards or letters for people experiencing loneliness or who could otherwise use a kind note from a stranger. So on March 17th, we're meeting at the Grand Boardroom at CTRL Collective (where we host our Westside Assemblies) armed with construction paper, stickers, markers, stationary and pens to make cards and write notes to the assisted living and memory care residents at Sunrise Villa of Culver City.

Comments like this one remind us how important it is to reach out:

"This is a wonderful idea! My dad was lonely when he lived in a nursing home - so many residents don't feel well or hear well and have nearly stopped talking, so he had no one to reminisce with unless the busy staff took a few minutes to listen. He appreciated all visits, letters and calls."

On March 17th, drop in to say hello, write or drop off a card or supplies, or hang out to write letters and help brighten dozens of people's days. If youcan donate supplies, please comment below. Supervised kids of all ages welcome. If there is sufficient interest, we'll make this a regular event for making and even delivering cards to the elderly, children's hospitals and others who could use a lift. Because you don't need a holiday to send a card, and gifts of random acts of kindness help us all live better.
Can't make it Saturday but want to help? Drop off cards or letters at our March 18th Assembly. The Assembly is free and lasts from 11:30-1pm. We'll be there 9am-1:30, and we'd love to see you there for the whole event or just to drop off.
