Join Heal the Bay's "Stream Team"

Come enjoy the outdoors and make a difference with Heal the Bay’s Stream Team! Heal the Bay is partnering with the Mountains Restoration Trust to restore areas of Leo Carrillo State Park.

Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine while helping remove non-native vegetation along Arroyo Sequit in Leo Carrillo State Park. Volunteers will work to remove invasive Cape Ivy from areas along the creek, which is poisonous to fish and other aquatic life.

NOTE:  Please wear sturdy shoes.  Long pants and a long-sleeved work shirt are strongly recommended. Bring plenty of water and a snack and a sunscreen/hat. Be prepared to get dirty. Gloves and tools will be provided. In the unlikely event of heavy rain, the restoration will be cancelled and you can sign up for a restoration event scheduled for a later date. We will notify you by email in the event of a cancellation.

Request a parking pass for the Heal the Bay/Mountains Restoration Trust event at the front gate. We'll meet at the picnic benches next to the parking lot. Look for an orange cone to mark the spot.

All participants must sign liability waiver forms.

REQUIREMENTS:  This event is open to volunteers age 10 and over. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Those under 18 must have their waiver forms (also available at the event) signed by a parent or guardian and fill out a State Parks Juvenile Volunteer waiver.
