WAYS TO VOLUNTEER
There are many ways to engage with the SALA community and be a part of our mission to 'Help Often'. Check out the opportunities below to find out more.

SERVICE PROJECTS:
Food Bank:
Help us fight food insecurity in Los Angeles by volunteering for our monthly distribution.
We've partnered with Atheist United and LA Food Bank to give out free food for those in need in on the 3rd Friday of each month.
Organize a Project:
If you know of a worthy cause you’d like to help and want Sunday Assembly members to join in? Let us know and we’ll help you create an event.
DURING THE ASSEMBLY:
Assembly Set Up:
Volunteers play a vital role in setting up our venue to create a welcoming and organized atmosphere for attendees. By handling logistical aspects volunteers contribute to the overall success of the event.
Trying My Best:
Had a recent challenge you’ve overcome or grown from? Give a five-minute talk on your experience. Sharing with your community is a great way to find support from your fellow Assemblers as well as inspire the community to find the strength to do their best. You don’t have to be an experienced public speaker to take part, we have other Assembly members that can help you craft your talk.
Creative Space:
Share your creativity! From comedy routines, poetry, original music, art projects, or leading an artistic group activity. Creative Space is a great way to take the spotlight and share your gifts with the community.
Audio Visual Technicians:
Know your way around a mixing desk or want to learn more about live streaming? Join the AV team and ensure our wider community can enjoy the assembly online.
Potluck:
Our Assembly potlucks are a great way to foster a sense of community. Volunteers may coordinate snack options, arrange potluck contributions from participants, and keep the buffet of deliciousness stocked up and tidy.

TALENT:
Speaker:
Do you have a talk that will inspire others to live better, help often, and wonder more? Our talks contribute to the intellectual and emotional growth of the community, sparking meaningful conversations and fostering a culture of learning and empowerment. We’re looking for experts in their field who can offer insights and perspectives that align with Sunday Assembly’s mission.
Musician:
Sunday Assembly loves a good singalong. We’re looking for musicians and bands that can join our rotation of talented singers. Lead our procession with your musical talents with live music that enriches the cultural and social fabric of the community.
