Families Belong Together - March and Rally

Join other SALAmanders in Downtown L.A. and show support for the immigrant families that have been separated. Let's show the country and the world that Los Angeles supports keeping families together.

Let's meet in front of the DoubleTree Hotel Los Angeles Downtown (120 S Los Angeles St, Los Angeles, CA 90012) at 10:30 AM and walk a couple of blocks to City Hall. The DoubleTree seems to have a Starbucks in their lobby so you can get your coffee fix and have a bathroom break before we get going.

Please include your phone number with your RSVP so I can contact you on the day of the event if we can't find you. I will email my contact information to all RSVPs so that you can reach me.

From Facebook event:  Families Belong Together: Freedom for Immigrants!

Join immigrants and our allies from across Los Angeles County as we demand an end to the mass incarceration and criminalization of immigrant families.

Sponsored by CHIRLA, National Domestic Workers Alliance, the Center for Popular Democracy Action, MoveOn, Women's March LA, ACLU of SoCal, Korean Resource Center, Fair Immigration Reform Movement, and United We Dream, this event will highlight the voices of immigrants and refugees and represent a show of support from native-born allies who reject the Trump Administration’s racism and xenophobia.

Note: By choosing to attend this event, you are committing to participate nonviolently and in accordance with the law, to work to de-escalate confrontations with others, and to obey the orders of authorized event marshals and of law enforcement. You also acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any injury or damage to your person or property resulting from or occurring during this event and that you release all event sponsors and organizers (and their officers, directors, employees, and agents) from any liability for that injury or damage.
