Garden School Foundation - Fiesta de la Huerta!

Garden School

Fiesta de la Huerta is The Garden School Foundation's biggest community event of the year!   The foundation invites their friends & community into the garden for garden activities & games, a scavenger hunt, a raffle, good food and loads of other fun stuff. This year they need approximately 20 volunteers to help them man/woman their garden stations, which include:

  • face-painting
  • a lemonade stand
  • a farmers market
  • bike-blended smoothies...

and so much more!  This is one event not to miss; fun for the whole family and a great way to introduce your kids to sustainable living and developing an appreciation for this amazing planet we live on.

The Garden School Foundation's mission is to provide a meaningful education for under-served youth in Los Angeles, through garden-based learning in outdoor living classrooms. They work with Title 1 schools to sustainably implement their curriculum of experiential standards-based lessons in all academic subjects, as well as cooking and nutrition, to strengthen the connection between education, health, environmental awareness, and thriving communities.
